MEET JULIA
Group Coordinator
I am the Group Coordinator (Unlicensed) for The Moore Group. My focus is to oversee all of the behind-the-scenes details that keep this well-oiled machine running smoothly!
Before The Moore Group
I have always been drawn to business and self-employment, starting and running multiple small businesses from my teen years onwards. In 1999, while earning an honours degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Winnipeg, I co-founded Birth Roots Doula Collective Inc, which is still successfully operating today.
I then moved to Vancouver and earned a Bachelor of Midwifery degree from the University of British Columbia, becoming a registered midwife. Soon after graduating, I purchased and ran a busy midwifery clinic in Vancouver with a dozen midwives and multiple staff, until I sold the clinic to move back to Winnipeg to be closer to extended family.
Even though the industries are super different, there are so many similarities between running my midwifery clinic and running The Moore Group— including the business names—not even joking, my clinic was called The Midwifery Group—also TMG!
My favourite thing about being in business is how rewarding it is when we have a success. When anyone on our team has a win, it feels like a win for all of us. I love helping such a close-knit and fun group of people succeed.

Outside Of Work
I have three kids who are all major hockey players, so that pretty much sums up my evenings and weekends.
Also relative to having three hockey-playing kids, my husband and I like to get away to anywhere that offers sun and cocktails as often as possible!
Otherwise, we live in Bridgwater and I love living in a fantastic neighbourhood filled with friendly and positive people.
