Where can I donate to support wildfire evacuees in Manitoba?

With wildfires affecting so many in Manitoba, we’ve put together a list of places where you can donate to help evacuees. Every contribution counts and can make a big difference — let's support one another during tough times.

1. Canadian Red Cross

  • Monetary donations only (Every $1 donated will become $3 with government matching until June 27).

  • Donate online at wfp.to/redcross or call 1-800-418-1111.

2. Manitoba Métis Federation

3. Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs

  • Monetary donations made by cheque: Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs. Please write “Wildfire Evacuee Support” in the memo line.

  • Donations can be mailed to 200-275 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2B3 or dropped off at 2-286 Smith St.

4. First Nations Family Advocate Office

  • Donations of new/gently used items (clothing, baby supplies, hygiene products, games, etc.).

  • Drop off at 200-285 Smith Street (Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

5. Southern Chiefs’ Organization

  • Non-perishable food, baby items, clothing, hygiene supplies needed.

  • Drop off at SCO offices: 1572 Dublin Ave, 202-600 Empress St, 105-1555 St. James St, Brandon, Dauphin.

7. Morgan’s Warriors

  • Non-perishable food, bottled water, hygiene supplies, clean clothing (all ages & sizes), blankets, etc needed.

  • Drop off at 278 Helmsdale Ave, Winnipeg

8. Volunteer Opportunities

  • Manitoba Métis Federation: Volunteers needed for supply distribution. Email emergencyvolunteers@mmf.mb.ca or call 1-888-362-2012

  • Winnipeg Humane Society: Volunteer at temporary animal shelter (St. Norbert Community Centre). Call 204-982-2021.

  • Southern Chiefs’ Organization: Interpreters for Cree-speaking evacuees. Contact anna.karlinski@scoinc.mb.ca or call 1-877-SCO-2880.
