Headingley, MB is home to a variety of parks, trails, and recreational spaces. A standout feature is Beaudry Provincial Park, just a short drive from the heart of Headingley. This park is a local gem offering beautiful hiking trails, picnic areas, and scenic views of the Assiniboine River. It’s a great spot for year-round outdoor adventures.
Closer to town, the Headingley Community Centre offers various sports programs, fitness classes, or you can even rent the hall for a family event. Around it are sports fields, playgrounds, plenty of green spaces, and a splash pad!
Proximity to the rugged nature of the 700 acres Assiniboine Forest is a huge advantage offered. Just across the street is Assiniboine Park offering another 1100 acres of park, including 400 acres of English Gardens, beautiful walking trails, The Zoo, Pavilion Art Gallery, and Nature Playground.
Winnipeg’s newest attraction is The Leaf which an outdoor/indoor diversity gardens. It is also a wedding and conference center and is home to the Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar.
Skip to the other side of Wilkes, and you’re at Fort Whyte Alive, another enormous nature preserve, including an interpretive centre with a Bison reserve, hiking trails, educational programs, day camps, and a shop with locally made products!
