What is the cost of snow removal services in Winnipeg?
BY Scott Moore, Realtor | First Snow Fall of the SeasonAs winter approaches, everyone in Winnipeg starts thinking about hiring snow removal services. Shovelling the driveway is a task that I dread, and I know many others do too.
With the first snowfall of the year upon us, I wanted to help answer one of the biggest questions: how much does snow removal cost?
To find out, I reached out to several snow removal companies in Winnipeg and asked for quotes on their services. As I receive more responses, I’ll keep updating this list. In the meantime, here’s what I’ve found so far:
The cost for a standard two-car driveway, walkway, and steps is approximately $180–$200 + GST per month (from November through March). Service typically begins when there is 1 cm or more of snowfall within a 24-hour period.
Geller’s also accommodates special requests, so it’s best to contact them directly to discuss your specific needs.
The cost for a standard two-car driveway and walkway is approximately $129 per month. Service typically begins when there is 3 cm or more of snowfall.
Imagine Lawns also offers one-time snow removal, as well as additional services such as de-icing, snow plow coverage, and weekly maintenance.
The cost for a standard driveway and walkway starts at $249 per month. Service begins when there is 1 in or more of snow fall and there is 24/7 service.
Cleanr also offers additional plans, including driveway-only service and second-day service. I recommend visiting their website for more details and pricing.
The cost for a monthly contract is $199.95 per month, which includes snow removal for up to a four-car driveway (two cars in front and two cars behind), as well as the front steps and front sidewalk.
Super Value also offers one-time services that is $129.95 for 30 minutes of service.
Green Blade does not offer monthly or one-time snow removal services. Instead, they provide a seasonal service package running from November 1 to April 15. Pricing is $999 for standard service and $1,498.50 for priority service. For homes with a back lane, the cost is $1,300 for standard service and $1,950 for priority service.
Service is guaranteed within 12 hours after snowfall stops, and coverage is for residential homes located within the Perimeter Highway and Headingley.
As you can see, each company offers different levels of service and pricing. It’s best to choose the option that fits your needs, reach out to multiple companies, and request quotes directly. I can’t guarantee the level of service for any company and the information in this list may change, so be sure to confirm details with the provider.
If you notice that a company’s pricing has changed, let me know and I’ll update the list. Happy shovelling!
