Where Can I Donate in Winnipeg?

By Scott Moore, Group Leader & Realtor | April 24, 2026

It’s that time of year when we all start tidying up, decluttering, and clearing out the things we no longer need.

Why not put those gently used items to good use?

Winnipeg has plenty of places where you can donate clothing, furniture, food, household goods, and even pet supplies to help people and animals in need. In this post, I’ve rounded up some of the best donation spots around Winnipeg to support:

Harvest Manitoba: Food & Household Items
You can drop off non-perishable food items, personal care products, and gently used household items. Donations can be dropped off at their main depot or at select satellite locations across the city. If you are donating household items, please contact Harvest Manitoba in advance.

Siloam Mission: Clothing, Furniture, & Essentials
They accept clothing, furniture, bedding, and personal care items. Donations can be made in person at their Princess St location.

Goodwill: Clothing, Electronics, & More
Goodwill accepts clothing, electronics, books, and household items. Donations help support training programs and employment services for Manitobans facing barriers to employment. Most locations have convenient drop-off hours and they offer a pick-up service.

Salvation Army Thrift Stores: Clothing & Household Items
They accept donations of gently used clothing, small appliances, and household items. Proceeds from sales go toward community programs and services. They offer drop-off points in many neighbourhoods.

D’Arcy’s Arc: Animal Supplies
D’Arcy’s Arc is a local animal rescue that welcomes donations of pet food, blankets, toys, leashes, and other supplies for dogs and cats. Donations help support rescued animals and drop-offs are accepted during business hours.

Dress for Success: Professional Clothing
Dress for Success supports women re-entering the workforce by providing professional clothing, shoes, and accessories. Donations of clean, gently used professional attire support women to feel confident and prepared for interviews and their first days on the job. Drop-off appointments are encouraged.

Community-Based Clothing & Furniture Banks:
Several community-run clothing and furniture banks across the city accept donations to help low-income families furnish their homes and stay warm. These include organizations like Spence Neighbourhood Association and West Central Women’s Resource Centre. Donations of furniture, bedding, and winter clothing are especially appreciated during the colder months but are welcomed at all times throughout the year.

No matter which organization you choose to support, your donations make a real difference in the lives of Winnipeggers. So, gather those items you no longer need, pack them up, and head out to make a positive impact in your community. Thank you for your support.
