Reid Boles’ Favourite Things About Being a Realtor
BY Reid Boles, Realtor | August 21, 2026One of the things I love most about being a Realtor is that no two days are ever the same. Everyone has a different story, a different goal, and a different idea of what "home" might be. Being part of that journey is something I never take for granted.
I often help first-time buyers make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. Sometimes it’s a growing family needing more space, empty nesters seeking less, or someone preparing to sell a place they’ve called home for decades.
Other times, I’m watching a house come to life from a simple plan on paper to the day its new owners move in. Every situation is both exciting and stressful, but helping people navigate that mix of trepidation and excitement is incredibly rewarding.
I’ve always loved exploring Winnipeg’s incredible neighbourhoods. Each one has its own distinct charm, from picturesque tree-lined streets with historic homes to vibrant new developments built for growing families. This diverse landscape opens doors to places I might never otherwise experience, whether it’s a multi-million-dollar home tucked away at the end of a forest-lined street, a penthouse overlooking the city at night, or a cozy cabin on a lake.
As a Realtor, I get to experience these properties firsthand, sometimes multiple times, seeing both their highlights and their less-than-ideal aspects. Every visit paints a vivid picture of a neighbourhood I might not have discovered otherwise.
Being a Realtor goes beyond buying and selling houses. It’s about building relationships, earning trust, and being a reliable source of support for my clients throughout the entire process, both before and after the sale.
